Colonial Research Associates, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Douglas Stagnaro after identifying the need for experienced individuals to cost-effectively manage Phase I and Phase II clinical trials for startup and small pharmaceutical, biotechnology and device companies.
Douglas knew from working for many years as a clinical research consultant and clinical research associate that small firms struggle to stretch limited resources during the critical early phases of clinical research. To meet this need, Douglas assembled a team of experts, the Colonial Research Associates, to provide a comprehensive range of clinical services for Phase I and II in the United States, Canada and Australia.
